Get Involved and Support our School!

At Highland Park Elementary, many of the programs, events, and experiences our students love most are made possible by parent volunteers. Whether you're looking to help at a special event, support a classroom, or share your time and talents throughout the year, your involvement makes a meaningful difference.

We offer opportunities that fit a variety of schedules and interests—from one-time events to ongoing volunteer roles. No matter how much time you have to give, your support helps create an exceptional experience for our students, teachers, and families.

Explore the opportunities below to learn how you can get involved. Together, we help create the memories, experiences, and traditions that make HPE such a special place to learn and grow.

2026 August HPE K-2nd Info Night Volunteers

Help us welcome our Hornet families to K–2nd Curriculum Night! We're looking for parent volunteers to help make the evening run smoothly on Wednesday, August 19.

Volunteers will help sell spirit wear, direct families to classrooms, and provide a friendly, welcoming experience for everyone attending.

Volunteer Commitment: 1 hour
Date: Wednesday, August 19, 4–5 PM

Thank you for supporting our Highland Park families!

2026 September Fall Book Fair Volunteers

Help make our Fall Book Fair a success! We're looking for parent volunteers to assist as cashiers and help students shop during Book Fair week September 4–11.

Volunteers will help check out purchases, restock books, keep displays organized, and assist students in finding their next great read. No experience is necessary—we'll show you everything you need to know!

Volunteer Commitment: Varies by shift
Dates: September 4–11

Thank you for supporting our students!

Volunteer Interest Form

Looking for a way to get involved but not sure where to start? We'd love to learn more about you!

Share your interests, availability, and preferred ways to help, and we'll connect you with opportunities that fit your schedule and interests.

This is not a commitment to volunteer. It simply lets us know you'd like to hear about future opportunities, and you can decide if they're the right fit when they arise.

Friday Otter Pop Volunteers

Help us keep the fun going after school! Every Friday from August 7 through September 11, the HPE PTSO will be handing out Otter Pops to help students celebrate the end of the week and stay cool in the Arizona heat.

We're looking for volunteers to help distribute Otter Pops and bring a few extra smiles to our students' Fridays. This quick and easy opportunity is a great way to get involved and connect with the HPE community.

Volunteer Commitment: ~30 minutes
Dates: Fridays, August 7–September 11

Whether you can help for one Friday or all six, we'd love to have you join us!

Meet Your Hive Mom

Hive Moms are parent volunteers who help keep families connected throughout the school year. Each grade level has a dedicated Hive Mom who serves as a point of contact for grade-specific questions, shares important reminders, and helps support school events and volunteer opportunities.

Whether you're new to HPE or a returning family, your Hive Mom is here to help you stay informed and involved.

Have a question or want to connect with your grade's Hive Mom? We're happy to help!
